Healthy Easter Basket Ideas

Easter is coming!!! I can't believe that its just 6 days away!! We've been super busy and I haven't had a chance to even think about Easter let alone play Easter Bunny and get all the goodies for their baskets!! Thank goodness for Amazon Prime right?!?!?

Easter is one of my favorite holidays! i love that its warming up, spring has all the flowers blooming and I love watching the kids running around looking for eggs! But what I don't love is all the candy! Sure a couple pieces is fine with me but there is no reason for those little bodies to be packed with sugar and artificial ingredients and dyes! I know for mine personally when they get too much sugar they get hyper, they crash hard and listening is pretty much out the window. So to make it a better day for everyone we'll just limit it to the couple pieces and move on to the other goodies!! Here's what I'll be adding to the baskets this year, I hope these ideas help you too!


Easter Basket Ideas for Boys

A ball-since he is totally obsessed with sports and being outdoors this is sure to be a hit! Also because he kicks them over the neighbors fence just about every day we need to add to the collection!

Bubbles– it’s spring time and who doesn’t want to be outside blowing bubbles.

Cadbury Eggs-his special treat!

Books– He's really taking off with his reading and loves sharing new books that he finds at school. This is one of his current favorites!

Money– Instead of filling their eggs with candy let’s put in a few coins. 
Bubble Bath– my kiddos LOVE "swimming" in the tub and making bubble beards!

Movie-Trolls is a hit this year! He LOVES to dance and this one has him moving all around! Plus we love our Friday family movie nights snugging and eating popcorn 

New paints and art supplies– to let them shine their creativity.

Easter Basket Ideas for Girls

Play-doh- Harper love, love, loves playing with Play-Doh. Keeps us busy for hours!

Bows - We run through these things like crazy so its time to restock

Chalk - You can never have enough chalk!! We are just about out of last years haul. Get ready for some hop scotch and tic-tac-toe!

Cadbury Eggs-her special treat!

Crayons - We got out the easel and now its time to make some fun creations!

Movie - Moana is Harpers favorite!! My little dancing queen loves to dance with her babies!

Gardening Tools - She is so excited every time we get outside to do yard work. Having her own set of tools will keep her excited and safe. 

So I'll be placing my order tonight and putting those baskets together later in the week. I cant wait to see their little faces when they come  down Sunday morning! Looks like I better get some sun screen too because from the looks of it we'll be spending lots of time outside playing!!
